Morpaankh - Bahaar

Bahaar is the word for spring, the few weeks when everything decides to flower at once. This set wears that season: a wide cotton Anarkali in deep magenta, with embroidered flowers climbing the whole hem the way a garden runs along a wall, pink blooms and green leaves worked in thread and finished with a scalloped, cut-out edge. The yoke is gathered into fine pin-tucks that release into the flare, an old tailoring trick that gives the kurti its shape and a quiet play of light down the front.
